Longwood Trivia!

April 22nd, 2016

Microbrews have exploded in popularity recently and, with it, so have the microbreweries that produce these craft beers. Unlike typical breweries which can produce up to 6,000,000 barrels per year, U.S. microbreweries are limited to 15,000 barrels or less annually. While some long-standing microbreweries may produce slightly more — some breweries were grandfathered in under looser restrictions — the majority of these boutique producers keep quantities very low, enabling them to experiment with different flavors, styles, fermentation processes and ingredient proportions.
