We came. We saw. We drank beer. We had fun. We listened to music. And we’ll do it all again next year. This past August Nanaimo’s Got Pop? Concerts and Longwood Brewery held the annual Longwoodstock festival.
“Everybody was amazing,” says Longwood Brewmaster Harley Smith. “All the way from headliner Vince Vacarro, right down to the food carts, the servers, the festival workers. Awesome in every way.”
Aside from Vacarro, attendees were treated to a musical feast of the ears with Dope Soda, Lovecoast, JP Maurice, Carmanah and The Soul Survivor. Eight amazing local artists in total, always amazing when mixed with beer Yard Games (Including Yard Pong and Giant Jenga), Mini Donuts (sooooooo good!), a Longwood Brew Pub BBQ, Mambo’s Pizza and temporary tattoos for those looking to get some ink but not regret it the morning after.
Aside from the music and festivities, the event also featured five longwood beers and a delectable Merridale cider.
“We served a lot of beer and had a smashing good time,” added Smith. “I’d chalk this one up in the win column.”
